Every Ranger I see has a faded front bumper valence. What can I do to get rid of this? I painted the plastic cladding around the bottom of my Grand Cherokee with Duplicolor bumper paint but it would start peeling off after some time. Is there any type of plastic stain that I don't know about?

what you need is to spray it with what they call an adhesion promoter, it helps paint bond to plastic and fiberglass bumpers and front clips. it goes on before the paint and creates a chemical bond for the paint to 'grab' to.

With rocks and sand getting kicked up even factory painted bumpers don't last all that long around here.

They were grey from the factory, so to me it is hard to tell if they are really fading or if that is what color they are supposed to be.

You can definitely tell that my bumper is fading. It's mainly happening as it wraps from the front to the side, although there is some on the front too.
