I am going to replace the old wheel lugs on my truck. I am not finding what size they are in the tech section or doing a search. My truck is an 1987 ranger 4 x 4.

I think most Fords are 1/2" x 20.

1/2" x 20. Same as the full size and other RBVs. Only thing is that some use regular closed end nuts and some use an open end acorn. Depends on what kind of center caps. Newer style rims and caps clip on the nuts, so you have to use the acorns on those since they cover the nuts.

Something to watch out for if you get aftermarket closed-end lug nuts (especially if you have steel wheels) is the stud bottoming out inside the nut before the nut actually clamps the wheel down against the mounting surface (leading to broken studs and lost wheels). It's possible you might need to take about 1/8" off the end of each stud with a grinder or cutting tool.

And ×3 on them being 1/2" x 20.

I will check them with a caliper.
