I'm doing it wrong:

I know, I know, Ford site, Chevy go home, take it to S-10 forum, but I just gotta brag about this one. The 4-cyl guys can go put this as a feather in their cap now too.

The specs on that truck:

2001 S-10. 2.2L flex fuel, BW T-5 manual trans, unknown rear end size or gears.

And the scale slip:

That's pounds there boys.

Might have done it wrong, but I still did it.

I'm not a pituitary freak like you. :icon_thumby:

And the wife took it down to the scrap yard while I was at work today.

If you're not making mistakes, you're not learning.
I did 1,200 lbs before with my Red Ranger. Sat a little better than that, I probably could have gone higher but I ran out of room...

I did sit lower only once, but I never went to the scales. I had the bed stacked bed-rail to bed-rail with solid core commercial fire doors (they make bitchin workbench tops). Felt the bumpstops a few times on that trip.

Don't vote Democrat.
I loaded my old '84 long-bed down like that a couple times.

Man, the steering gets light with the front end up like that....

I had 2 yards of bagged mulch in the bed last year and the ranger didn't even flinch. Had to be well over a ton.

The junk in the bed is actually worth something.:icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

I kid, the s-10s were actually pretty decent trucks, unlike what they were replaced with.

Gasp!!

You don't own that Chevy do you?

JK. :D Chevy's are ok. I'd still rather have a Ford though. Not a Chrysler product though. :icon_surprised:

I once put 600lbs in the bed of my S-10 with the SS package and all that - that was all it could take.
