i have a limited slip 8.8 rear, the lockers for this are expensive and im just not ready for a gear swap at this point, so i ordered a new clutch pack for the limited slip and threw it in.

it was so tight that i had to hammer the spider gears and the pin back in.

i thought i had bought non limited slip formula gear oil, but after reading the back of the bottle it said it was fine for limited slips.

truth be told... the longer i drive the worse it seems to act like a spool. on a wet road turning into traffic, itll break the tires loose like it was nothing, itll chirp tires going across rail road tracks, it tears up the grass and gravel... you can see where ive driven.

but.. if im in a parking lot it will break free, there is no sudden jarring or ratcheting iether, it doesnt squeel on the dry pavement like a spool will, and it makes 100% ZERO noise. i can feel it push the truck wide around the corners like a locker does. it is very predictable too, which is great, but im wondering how icy roads will be.

offroad its amazing, i hardly have to lock in the front hubs any more.

soon im going to add the limited slip formula and see if it gets any better, i have been keeping an eye on the tires and i havent noticed any abnormal wear...

the superpack, is wierd... but i feel its a great option opposed to a locker, at a fraction of the cost, i paid 80$ for the clutch pack, i believe the locker is about 500$, and it was really easy to install, any one could do this with basic hand tools and knowledge.

hope i have helped.
