'94 3.0 to 4.0 (possibly a '00 engine)

I know I'm beating a dead horse on this but I'm reading different things.

Do the motor mounts need to be changed?
The transfer case from the 3.0 should work, right? It's a manual shift t case and I want to keep it that way.

I'll only need the engine compartment harness right? The one through the fire wall should work and hook up to the 4.0 ecu?

I have a lead on a 2000 4.0 with any harnesses I need and the ecu and a 2001 5 speed. Would it be rather simple to make the '00 work in a obd1 truck or should I keep looking for a 93/94 engine? And what engine would be best?

I know I'll need the transmission. What other parts will be needed?

Any other knowledge that y'all willing to share?

Truck is currently a manual and going to stay manual.
