I have an 83 and want to swap the steering wheel. Can I use the latter pre airbag steering wheel in my truck with no mods?
Also, how hard is the heater core to swap out. Does it come out through the engine side or interior?
Thanks

The heater core is very very simple. I was 16 years old when I did mine and I can't remember everything but I remember all you basically have to do is unhook the hoses on the heater core from the engine bay (2 hoses)...easy to spot on the passenger side firewall...and you have to remove the glove box and you should be able to get to it. Its very easy to do.

You don't even have to remove the glove box.

I can't specifically remember how to do it, but I know that I did my heater core about 4 1/2 years ago and I never took my glove box out until last spring when I did a dash swap.

I took my glove box out but didn't have too...it was easier to see what I was doing but not necessary...

The steering wheel is pretty straight forward too...if you're using the same model year with the same options there should be no problem at all...

It usually takes me more time to find my bottle opener so I can open an imported beer
than it does to change out my heater core.
