as some know i have a 1994 ranger with a 347 and c4 transmission the fastest pass it has been is a 11.53 @116 on motor only. its my truck but for health reasons I cant drive it. so my dad has been building it with me and he been driving it. the stall is wrong and it leaves the light at about 2500 rpms. I was about to have the convertor re-stalled to 4000 to see if will could get a low 11 out of it. my dad just found out he has to go in for some liver problems and they said what they have to do will leave him with just one arm that works so he will not be able to drive the truck. it was fun

Thanks between the two of us we have not had any luck. It's seems like 1 step forward and 100 back. The one good thing is we are both still here

Sorry to hear about your luck.
I'm sure you've thought about it, but can your dad use D and his other arm to steer or is it more complicated.

Problem would be steering it one handed without power steering. Also to use that push button he would have to make a pass taking his hand of the wheel and I don't think I want him doing that. I have a brother that I may get him to drive it.

I used to tractor pull with a guy that was deaf and could barely walk with two canes. His pickup had hand controls and he tuned his tractor by feel. He had the best sounding G John Deere I ever heard and he did really good with it.

Don't give up on it just yet :icon_thumby:

I hope everything with your dad works out on the health side of things too.
