Auto hub question

Did they put auto hub's on Dana 28 axles? I found a 1990 Ranger that has auto hubs and I think it's a Dana 35. I'm going to double check tommorow. It has a rebuilt 2.9 and auto transmission. The owner says that he wants 500.00 for the whole truck. The truck was rolled/ hit bed real hard on drivers side.

Yes, the push button t-case and auto hubs started as an option in 86.

2.9 auto? That may very well be a 4.10 D35, the holy grail of RBV axles.

12 bolts=D28, 10 bolts=D35.

Yeah it has the 10 bolt front pattern. The door tag says axle 86= 3.73. There is a tag on the axle, but I don't want to crawl in the snow to look at it.

Damn. Was it a single cab? I believe it may have only been the extended cabs that got 4.10s.

Mine came out of a 90 extra cab had 3.73s great set of manual hubs though wound up with a hybrid differential.

What engine/tranny combo? It'll only be 4.10s with a 2.3 or 2.9 auto. And if it was a hybrid, it was swapped in. The hybrid didn't appear until 93.
