3rd gen idle problem *fixed*
I have been getting some problems from my new to me ranger. It wants to idle at 2000 and in between shifting gears it doesn't go lower than 2000. It takes a few to get back down to normal idle when I am not moving; but it doesn't go down steady, it goes down in steps. Not sure what it could be.
oh and when I start it up to let it get warm, it starts to make a humming noise that kinda sounds like a shop-vac not sure if that is related to anything to the idle problem.
any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Its a 96 4.0L manual trans Ranger.
