Hi, I used the search bar look for an answer.

When I fill up my truck, gas is leaking out the top of the tank. It gets worse with each fill up.

I found this post.

It looks like the truck in the post was 1991. I have a 2005. Is the filler hose set up similar?

Also, I am trying to locate the part. Is it the rubber connection?

Thanks for the help.

Welcome to TRS :)

Yes the filler hose is the most likely problem.

Video here on how to change it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNpYCDDwpk4
And this IS the easy way, lol

Your 2004 filler may look like this with two separate pipes: http://contentinfo.autozone.com/znetcs/product-info/en/US/adi/FN909/image/2/
Or in this thread: http://www.rangerforum.com/threads/how-to-fuel-filler-neck-hose-replacement-discussion-thread.6519/

Same procedure to replace just different part number and two rubbers hoses that can crack and leak

amazon of course, or: www.fillernecksupply.com

there is a difference between the step-side and straight side necks, about 1.5".

search my user name, I posted about one this summer.
easy to change, no need to jack up or drop anything. IF its just a rusted neck.
you will probably need a new ground strap too.

oops , you said its leaking at the top of the tank. that may need the short hose(s) and they are definitely harder to replace.
