I managed 21.6mpg from Biggs, OR to Klamath Falls, OR driving between 55 - 75mph the entire way (besides when driving through towns). Terrain is completely flat for the many hundred miles and I probably had the wind pushing me too. I ran my numbers three times to make sure that it was a correct figure. I got 19.5mpg on the way back with the wind blowing my little truck all over the road.

I was getting 11mpg average in the winter around town, and 8mpg when running 4x4 through town when it was snowing. I was getting 13.5 around town in the summer when I was running a 2.9L. Goes to show how drastically fuel economy can change under these conditions...

Failing is easy. Everyone can do it.
About same here. Did 150 miles all highway last week and did about 20 mpg. Normal this week driving? About 16 mpg.

About the same here. 21 plus on a trip from here to Stockton, CA down I-5. 14 to a little over 15 round town. A lot less in crappy weather.

So I just hit my best tank to date.

408.9 miles on 18.3 gallons for 22.3 mpg. 95% highway between 60 and 80 mph.

21 gal tank, 2wd, 3.08 rear, 5-speed, 1992 4.0.

Been runnin' with no tailgate, I don't think contributed though.

Dang my 91 4.0 averages 14.5 - 15 around town. It has recently started getting better out of the blue though, I got almost 16 the other day.

2wd? I think that makes a difference as it sits lower the the ground. But yeah mine takes a nose dive on mpg in town

How's the weather lately? Had low to mid 70's here in the day time, and the engine is loving it.

When it gets much colder my milage will drop, and in the summer when it was hot my milage dropped as well.
