Bronco 2 wiring diagram shows purple/green wire goes into pump, with 2 wires coming out, blk, and blk/white. I see where the blk/white got cut so will wire that back together, blk is ground so will ground that. The purple/green wire is the one I'm confused on. Where does this go? Do not see where I can connect it to pump.

There needs to be 2 wires for the pump motor to get 12v and a ground.
Purple/Green wire is the 12v that comes from the washer/wiper control switch.
If you don't see that connection on the pump then wire has broken off inside connector.
May have to hit a wrecking yard to find a similar connector with wires intact.

So I pulled the connector off first before I left. Only has two prongs. No slot at all that I can see where the purple wire could go.

The washer fluid pump plug has two prongs... One prong is ground (blk), the other is 12V from the washer pump button on the turn stalk (purple/lt-grn).

I see no blk/wht wire associated with the pump, so you might be confusing something else in the diagram?.

The purple wire goes from the wiper switch to the pump and the intermittent wiper govenor. It is a box by the fuse block under the dashThe ground wire goes to the govenor also. When you push the washer switch does the wipers work? You can use a test light or a volt meter and connect it to the two pins in the washer motor connector and press the switch. If you have power either the connector or motor are bad? If no power probe the wires going to the connector and test again just take a needle ans push it through the purple wire and test it for power to a good chassis ground. You get the idea its not rocket surgery.

Wipers work when button is pressed in. No fluid tho, and can't hear pump working. Although, I haven't connected any wires yet. I say blk/white wire because those are the two wires coming out of the two prong connection wire from the pump. The purple/green wire I have coming from the firewall.

black/white is the way to say black wire with white stripe and threw me off a little but having only two wires it can only be pos and neg to run the motor. Have someone push the button while you test for power between the two wires. If your just gonna replace the connector it is best to solder the wires and use shrink tube to seal then up.
