I am in the process of this swap and found a few things out.
Get the harwood swap manual first and the wiring headache is eliminated.
Non HO and HO engines have diffrent firing orders.
I am running an AOD auto and had to make a plate to move it about 2 in fwd.
The factory 99 Ranger 4cyl mass air harness plugs directly into a 94-95 Mustang mass air meter. The plug wire colors are the same as the older mass air harnesses, and can be used as a pigtail.
A return fuel line will need to be added.
I am using the motor mount adapter plates a member on here made. I made a set from his drawings, (after seeing it was ok to duplicate) One is a flat plate and one has a step in it.
My engine started life as a non HO roller out of a crown vic. The driver side facing throttle body gave my A/C equipped truck plenty of clearance.
Most importantlly, use the search window, and read, read, read.
