I'm so tired of wire wheeling rust.... unfortunately it has just begun. Next up are leaf springs, frame, sway bars, front knuckles.....
Dude, you’re blowing me the f@ck away with how much work you’ve done and how well it’s turning out! But... why not just bead or sandblast all that sh@t instead? Great job! :icon_thumby:

Thanks! Well because I did have a budget and didn't have the means to transport or pay to have that done. Honestly I've been impressed with the end product. It's just been sitting in my driveway under a tarp forever but still no rust and looks shiny and new still.

I have been working my butt off, no time for the POS. Hope to get back to it this fall when it cools off

I have some advice. I've done pretty much everything you are doing or have done. The headers. If you used the supplied gaskets.. Take them back off and get the metal coated ones. The supplied will burn is no time. The bolts on the collectors throw them away and find some locking bolts or you will be tightening them every other month depending on how much you drive. The Hurst shifter... Can't breath and will send fluid up the speedo cable and blow the gasket. Google Ranger Hurst shifter mod. Like I said.. Been there done that. Really I wouldn't use the bolts for the headers to the heads either.. I'd change them too... Looking good!

Hey man thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I do have a plan for the Hurst issue. I've got quite the list of stuff to do still lol

Love me some PP. I run that stuff in my parts washer. My only complaint is I don't like how slimy it feels on my hands because I use it straight, I don't water it down at all. It almost feels like concentrated coolant.
It feels slimey cause it melts your skin! :icon_rofl:

Lol. A guy that used to work for me cleaned some parts for about three hours with purple power. Next day he was peeling skin off his hands.

Yup. That stuff cleaned up the plastic covers on my friend's '55 10HP Johnson. Didn't mess with the plastic one bit, and just wiped right off when I was done. Now if he'd just get me the diaphragm kits for the fuel tanks I think we would have it running already.

Nice Stang
( some people will get the joke )
Just read this whole thread. Nice work.
Haha!! I once heard a little boy turn to his dad and say daddy look at that Mustang as I drove by. My favorite compliment was as I was driving by two little girls riding bicycles, one yelled out to me, I like your Lamborghini haha!!
Thanks for the compliment, I put a lot of effort into that POS for a while. It's on the back burner still. I have a couple of new interests right now

In a different thread, I made a blunder about the origin of the mustang and Camaro having the same designer.

How's the VMAX doing for you? Still jealous of that find.

That's Maro to you haha

Better than the Honda. Battery died on me today, probably because I've been spending my time riding the Vmax instead haha. It is an awesome bike, it feels really quirky, the rear wheel is offset 10 mm because of the drive shaft. A little bit sloppy, I had it over 100 and it was wanting to start to wobble back and forth. Definitely can't really use second gear. Going to have to eventually take care of that. I still am in disbelief I got it so cheap.
