Very sure its been talked to death but I'm old, and tired of searching the forums for an answer.
I put a 87 302 roller engine and c4 combo in my 89 ranger 2wd. Converted it to carb and now I need to know to set up my front accessory drive.
First, it has a stock water pump and want to convert from a serpentine belt to a v belt. Will only be running a power steering pump, water pump, alternator, crank pulley. Just want to clean up the front of the engine and get rid of the serpentine belt tensioner
any ideas?

Late 80's crown vic/generic big car had a single micro groove belt that ran all that, it was short and used the alternator to set tension like a generic V belt.

Still takes up a mile of real estate like everything else that uses the long water pump though.
