I have my stock 4.0 coil springs off my Ranger....I know the Explorer 4.0 coils will lift the front of the Bronco II, but will the Ranger's coils give me any lift on my Bronco II if i install them in place of the stock Bronco II coil springs?

The reason I ask is, I was told 31x10.50x15's on 15x8's would fit with no lift....i had the tires mounted and balanced today and they wouldn't fit....I have a set of coil spacers on the way, but if the Ranger 4.0 coils will lift it a bit to fit the 31's...

31's should fit on stock rims without rubbin with just a leveling kit up front, the 4.0 spring should level you out, my buddy has 30's on his bII right now and can easily clear 31's, if you have a different offset rim then itll cause rubbage issues

Is your Buddie's B2 a second Gen? 31s fit 2nd gens stock but not 1st gens.

I'm running 31x10.50 on my '84 Bll and the only problem I had was about a quarter inch of rubbing on the plastic fender well at the bottom front. I don't have any lift. I've looked under it and all I have are some gas magnum shocks that fit mid to fuul size trucks that the previous owner put on. And as far as I know, shocks don't add lift. Do they?

factory is 15x7 with like 3.75" backspace.maybe the slightly wider rim gave you problems?

the 4.0 Ranger 4wd coils raised the BII 1"....still not enough to clear the 31x10.50's.....

i guess I will have to wait till next weekend to put them on with the 4" lift!

:icon_welder:

A little cutting and some work with a hammer will solve the problem.:derisive:
I rub a little with 6.5 lift and 31s. Only at extreme angles though. Good luck.
