I have a 1989 Ford ranger XLT (I think super cab, it has the extended cab with the two small side-sitting fold in seats). 2WD, 2.3L 4-cylinder.
I need to know what seats I can throw in it, I won’t be spending hundreds so it’ll be junkyard seats, how to replace the dash (it’s cracked and chipped and go-awful), and how to modernize the interior control panels, like an updated knob-based a/c unit(it has the lever-action one), an adjustable steering wheel(height/in and out like modern cars), power windows, power locks, keyless entry, and possibly cruise control. I would really like to add a run-lock on it, as I work with K-9s and absolutely cannot stand leaving a dog in a hot truck. Also, a/c of some kind in the shell camper(I will probably rebuild the camper itself or build an entirely new one after the truck gets restored). I also need to replace all the glass, windshield especially, but really everything, and don’t want to hire safelite, or another similar company. 90% of the interior needs to be replaced, and I’m probably going to convert it from the original red to a dark grey.
Last note: it seems the interior isn’t weatherproofed at all, I’d really like to seal it off completely. Taking apart the passenger door I discovered leaves, pine needles, mold and rust INSIDE the door.
Thank you in advance, no one answer is needed everyone knows something a little better than someone else.
