On my new-to-me 1996 Mazda B2300, I just noticed that the back up lights don't work (I guess I didn't check that out when I bought them. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever checked the back up lights on a vehicle!)

So the easy things were checked. Both bulbs are OK and the fuse is fine.

All other lights on the rear of the truck (taillights, turn signals, brake lights) work fine which leads me to think the harness is probably OK. I'm thinking it must be the switch then? So where is this switch and how easy is it to access?

Thanks in advance!

Switch is right on the side of the transmission. You can check the wiring by jumpering the 2 pins in the connector. Mine required considerable work to the connector to get it to stay plugged in....
