I used to be on the RPS forum like 6 years ago when I was into lowering my truck, but it seems that site is gone now.
It had a lot of good examples of bagged rangers, anyone happen to know how to get ahold of those posts?
Anyway, I've been overseas 6 years and back in my 01 Ranger (reg cab 2.5L manual) that's lowered (DJM 4/5 drop) and now I want to bag it. Just want to check out what others have done.

I keep hoping that RPS will come back. I wasn't active over there much, but it was a great resource for the lowered/bagged crowd. I liked to pop in occasionally to see what was happening.

You best chance at finding anything that used to be on that site is probably the Wayback Machine.

Sorry can't help you on the bagged stuff.

I was wondering if Lincoln Airbags would fit a ranger. I posted a thread about it.

I doubt it. The Lincolns used them as part of the strut assembly. They basically had a standard strut setup but the air spring replaced the metal spring. They won't seal without the shock and strut top in place (personal experience, even a bad shock with good air seals can let the air bag bleed down).

The rear one would not work on a Ranger without extreme modification to the axle and frame of the truck. A front one might be a little less work on a 98+ 2wd, but not much.

The problem is that it is a strut arrangement and Rangers never used struts. And air ride Crown Vic (or Town Car) would be a much easier sell as the suspensions are much more similar than most of the bigger truck-based Lincolns. The rear would probably be the biggest issue for fab work, and you could really just take the whole axle, since it is a 5x4.5 8.8.

I guess I didnt specify, but I was referring to the rear axle with bags. Could a rear axle swap be done from Town Car, Crown Vic or Grand Marquis, to a Ranger

Probably. My rambling post started specifically with the setup from a Navigator, with which I have a long, troubled, frustrating, history.

The CVGMTC setup probably wouldn't be too hard to fit to a Ranger. You would need to add the upper perches to the frame, and then if you take the air bags and whole axle from the car it should become fairly straight forward to swap. The electronics would be the worst of it.

Honestly, I could probably make a career out of just flying/driving around the country helping people with issues.
