I picked up my Mazda B4000 SE 4x4 Cab plus a few weeks ago. It had been little used for the past two years and suffered from lack of TLC. Had to replace tires, serpentine belt, and spend days cleaning and primping to make it presentable. More replacement stuff coming, I'm sure.
Now that that is done, I need a recommendation and bit of insight in the replacement effort of my instrument cluster. Found that the clear cover is trash (cracked and had to replace many of the lamps to be able to see anything at night). Part of some of the needle pointers have deteriorated as well.
I want to go with the white gauge cluster and not the overlay stuff. I have looked throughout the posts and find that SOME Explorer and SOME Sport Trac and SOME Ranger white gauges work for SOME people.
What is my best bet to get an instrument cluster that will be mostly 'plug and play'? Any help identifying the vehicle model types that will work will really help me minimize the aggravation and money spent. Thanks in advance.
