How do you get the door switch out to replace it on a 1988 Bronco 2? Haven't done much looking as of yet, but definitely needs replaced before whatever is jammed in it falls out leaving the dome lights on.

You take a 9/16 socket to that nut around the push-button. Then once the nut is unthreaded from the bode the switch pulls out and you can unplug it.

Thanks, I couldn't figure out if it came out from the front or back of the panel. Seemed really tight when I tried it but I'll use a socket this time. I'd like to get it fixed before whatever the PO jammed in there to keep the switch pushed in to keep the dome lights from staying on since the end of it is broken off.

I may try and get over the pick a part again and grab a few other items and I may grab a couple of the switches to have on hand.
