Problem is, all I hear now is the sub woofer. Went off roading last night and it cut out. All my soldered connections to the writing harnesses are good. Only thing it could be is that the mute write grounded out accidentally. The mute write is now covered, but still no sound. Disconnected everything, reconnected it, and fuses are all good. Thoughts?

As I was driving to the trail head, passing a creepy abandoned house on the street, it sounded like the back passenger's speaker was arcing as if it were grounding out. For the rest of the night until we hit the street again, music was playing. I took that speaker out today, disconnected it, and got no sound still. Did the same for the back driver's speaker, same thing. Haven't tried the door speakers since they're a bit harder to get to.

update: i unplugged all 4 speakers and reconnected them, then plugged my stock head unit into the harness. i still have no sound, so that means its not my head unit and has to be a wire somewhere, correct?

Happened to me about 6 months ago. I ran all new speakers wire and everything has worked fine ever since. If you have some wire laying around I would just connect it to one speaker and tap it into your harness to see if that's the problem before you go through the hassle of running all new wire and it still not working by chance.
