First and foremost, thank you to all the input from all of you here on trs for your input. It really made the swap quicker. To all those attempting this swap, buy both original ford wiring diagram books for the donor truck and recipient truck. It helps.
Quick over view
Truck: 2000 2wd ranger
Engine: 1998 awd explorer 5.0l
Trans: 1997 2wd explorer 4r70w
Rear axle: 2001 explorer 4.10 gears with discs
Suspension: axle flip in the rear and cut front coils to match height
Modifications: notched front cross member, custom flat bed, explorer front bumper, custom driveshaft spacer, custom engine and trans mounting plates, electo pusher rad fans
So here we go
The original truck was oiled every year. Otherwise a traditional 2000 2wd 4.0l.
Here it's stripped down and frame painted.
Painted the engine and trans
Notched the front cross member
Custom driveshaft spacer
Engine all stuffed in
Custom flatbed
Final product so far
