Hey guys I'm just wondering how many miles you get on a full tank. I usually average around 240. I am at 270 now and I haven't changed any driving habits and pretty much the same route I usually do and I have like 1/8th tank left. Idk whats making it do this but I like it! And it may be just me but my truck feels a little faster, if Its possible lol.

Recently my truck has been going 320-340 miles before the fuel light turns on. 270-290 miles on E-85.

I get 276mi. to the tank but its only a 14gal. (single cab, short bed) so that is about 16mpg ave. And i think that is great considering how modfied it is.

when it was STOCK i had seen a best about 340mi but i drove SLOWER back then.

if yours is stock, you should get well over 300 a full tank(20gal). that works out to be 15mpg. i get 15mpg after doing gears in my truck and it has 35"tires and is as unaerodynamic as they come.

20 gal are you sure? The most I've ever filled it was 17 gal and the line was on the E. I did the calculator and it 16.5, which isn't too bad.

you have a 20 gallon tank, pretty sure only the non long bed reg cabs got the smaller tanks. the best way to figure your gas mileage is to fill it up, reset the trip mileage and drive it. then when you fill it next time, take the mileage and divide it by the amount of gallons you put in. and youll get your mileage. then, multiply you mileage by your size of tank, which would be 20.... then you will have how much mileage you can get out of a single tank.

ps, mine usually says "E" when i fill it up and usually fill about 17-18gal, but its a 20 gallon tank. you would be out of gas if you waited til you needed 20 gallons.

That's better than what I'm getting and you have the luxury of having cool air lol. I have AC but I never use it. I just roll down the window

93 Ext Cab with MT, 3.55's and a topper, 21 with no AC, 18.5 with AC. Good mileage is possible, just have to be willing to accelerate calmly and milk it for all the mileage you can. And yes, I have a 20 gallon tank and can get near 400 per tank without AC. Made it to just over 400 one time but took 19.2 gallons to fill and I almost stalled going down a hill.

1993 Ranger extended cab, 3.0L V6, 2wd, 3.73 rear gears, 5 speed manual trans, stock mechanicals and ride height. Synthetic transmission fluid, synthetic rear end fluid, 5W-30 engine oil. 26.3mpg on a 70 mile round trip mostly highway run. Double checked it a few times and got in the 25mpg range.

Driving habits for this mpg -- air conditioner off, short shift the trans to keep engine rpm below 2,000, into OD by 45 mph, kept speed at or below 60mph.

Previous driving habits -- A/C on, shifting between 2,000 and 3,000 rpm, into OD at 50, speed between 65 and 70 mph. Fuel mileage was 19 mpg or less.

For comparison, 20 gallons at 26.3mpg is a 526 mile trip.
