I was needing some info on swapping in a fuel injected 351 W into my Ranger right now it has the 4 cyl and a 5 speed wanted to know will the 5 speed hold up to the 351 and if it will bold up without a adapter thanks for any help at all

Adapters or steal the whole drivetrain . I don't think your tranny will hold up to that kinda power.

The 5 speed will run screaming out from under the truck into on coming traffic when you roll the 351 in to the same room with it.

LOL Thank's for the reply does anyone know if it is street legal in Mo to do the 351 W swap or will i have to put a 4.6 in it from that same year as my truck cause i really like the 351 W they have lot's of power and a killer 427 stroker kit

Cant tell you anything about your states laws but I like where your going with the 351.
If I had it to do over thats what I would have went with instead of the 302.
I have one in my 81 F-100 and I love it,way more low end nutts than the 302 in my 85.

Your problem is with that year/model Ranger. Headers are going to be the big problem. Not sure of your states laws but up here they vary by county. Running a V-8 demands a V-8 trans. A built 302/5.0L might even need after market trans. You can build a 347 with lots of low down grunt if that's what you want.
