hello out there.. i'm adding 2 l.e.d. light bars to the headache rack on my 2000 4.0 ranger. just wanted to know if anyone has ever added a second running light switch. I robbed a new console bezel from an explorer (2000) and added the second switch to run the l.e.d.'s. i piggypacked the main power to the switch & hooked up the ground but have no power comming OUT of the factory #2 switch.do i need to attatch the 3rd wire (light blue w/ tracer)? seems pretty strait forward but i must be missing something simple. thanks for any help.

Have you considered a separate relay for these lights? Fairly easy to do and eliminates the chance of overloading the circuit...

I had a relay wring diagram somewhere but it got lost when my computer died last month...but they are on-line so not hard to find if you need one.

I just hooked up one on my 89, not sure if its the same, but blue is battery, red is low beam, and black is ground. Like said not sure if its the same, but it is a factory kit I am installing.
