ok i bought a ranger a while back and took it riding and got into a deep hole and hyrdolocked the motor, thus breakin a rod, thus buyin a used motor rather then rebuilding to put in it. I now have a kid on the way and need to buy an suv and thinkin of sellin the truck. I have a couple questions.

1. what do i do with a old motor that has intake and all on it with a broke connecting rod. scrap i know the best choice but has anyone done anything special with an old motor that wasnt to expensive such as build a buggy?
(this question just a general discussion for anyone)

2. how much would someone in the ranger world say my truck is worth

1999 ranger 3.0l flex fuel...5 spd manual.....31 inch a/t's with a levling kit
has a slight exhaust leak sounds like comin from exhaust manilfod but could fix that if anyone even notices it. Truck says 115k miles but the motor in there which i got from everdrive had they said 60k miles on it. it has a small dent in the rear bumper from the trail rides and many small sctraches but still looks fairly clean. inside is fine and its the xlt 4x4 ext cab stepside and the skit pl8 on front is ripped off and i have since took the fog lights and wires off to make it look clean. thanks for any input and all advice

Scrap the motor, its not worth rebuilding. You might be able to sell parts off it. Look up the value at kelly blue book and use your judgement on pricing it. To high and it won't sell. Looks like a decent truck.
