OK, so had a little hit&run and need to replace outer left front fender. Looking around at local p&p, the price is not much less than new primed aftermarket parts from ebay. I'm sure they are made in china, but would be a whole lot less work. Anybody ever use these parts? Or am I better off finding a decent used fender and just do the work.

If you are going to keep it for awhile and worry about how it holds up Ford sheetmetal is thicker and probably better steel.

I agree with 85. Ford sheet metal for the win. probably won't be much more work than the primer unless it has rust on it... so As long as you grab one with no rust you should be good. You might even get lucky enough to find one in your color and not have to worry about it :)

I have only used an ebay fender once because I couldn't find a used one. It didn't fit for shit (and I don't usually cuss)!!! Took more body work to make that damn thing fit than I could believe. Probably could have fixed the old one easier. At least the damn holes would have lined up!!!

Try some local junk yards for a used one. LMC is also a good source for quality body panels.

Yeah, better if you can get one from a junk yard compare to those Chinese knock offs.
