I'm new to this so bare with me, I just got a 90 b2 (the one in my profile pic) and a 92 ranger, both 2.9, b2 had rapping motor , ranger no fourth gear, b2 was in really good shape so that's what I got running , the ranger has 8.8 axles with 3.55's , the bronco has 7.5 axles with 3.73's , so my question is... with axles should I go with?

id do the 8.8 and d35 of the ranger, if the ranger has the true d35. and explorer 8.8 is even better as its a 31 spline axle instead of the ranger 28 spline.

now, the gear ratio issue.. well find some junkyard gears! Lol. i'd rather have the 3.73's over a 3.55 BUT if you plan on wheeling the b2, you'll probably break the spiders in it.

or just wheel the b2 as is w/ the 7.5/d28 till something breaks then upgrade as stuff falls apart. that's probably the best option.

I think I want to know where you found an RBV with 3.55 gears.

that bronco might have the d35 front. if it does i would just leave the axles in it until you break something. look for a tag on one of the bolts on the front axle and it will tell you (or us) what axle it has

The explorer 4:10's are great. I have those in my 89 B2. She drinks a lot more these days though
