Hubs are different because the d35 shafts are bigger. You need the hubs.

i might not need the steering linkage
You do need the linkage, as you do the hubs too.

The D28 steering is too short for safe thread engagement on the adjusting sleeves, and the hubs are a different axle spline size (part of the reason for the D35 swap, all the axle/drive parts are massively bigger).

This is why it's best to pull the axle as a whole unit (and have them price it as a complete axle instead of as a whole bunch of individual parts, as I assume must've happened).

okay when i get there ill look for the hubs, keep all the parts. when i get there ill have someone else reprice it as a whole unit. the guy that did the pricing, priced it as like many parts. so that probably is why it was more, just like you said. hopfully it will be cheaper than like 500. if not, then im gona be mad. do i need the radius arms as well?

No, you should not need the radius arms. But as said, getting them off the axle is gonna be a PITA unless you got a torch and an impact gun with you (and a nice deep socket that can swallow the coil mount stud). So you're probably better off taking them with the axle (most likely the yard will consider them as part of the whole axle assembly). Plus if you ever decide later to build a set of extended arms on your own, you'll already have a set on hand to practice with (or to build without having to tear your frontend all apart).

okay. so essentially what your saying is to take the d35 as a whole piece and leave the radius arms and coil springs attached to it. he did say i can return the parts i dont need. so i could just remove the peices i dont need. although im hoping its not gona cost an arm and a leg.

i got the d35 on sunday and instead of taking removing the bolt on the radius arm, i took the peice it connected to. it costed a whopping $300.51. now all i gotta do is clean it up and slap it on the truck. they want like $10 for the core charge for the coil springs... ill just keep them for now till i go back. thank you for the help everyone!
