been trying to install windows 10 on my sisters computer, i have a valid product key that works, i have tried to install from the usb drive that its on, and thru the computer.

i have attempted the install 5 times, each time it accepts my product key, and goes to 100%, turns off the computer, i turn it on and it says its failed, with iether key, 80070652, or, c1900101-2000c.

i have looked these up without any help, it seems that they are dead end codes.

any one have any tips? i tryed disabling the antivirus but that did no good.

Are you trying to upgrade from a previous Windows version or clean install? Sounds like an upgrade...so maybe faulty installer files or trying to install on a drive other than C...which can cause problems...unless you have dual boot...check the boot sequence in the System Properties...turn that on (set to 10 seconds) and see if it offers more than one OS...requires reboot and select the OS you want to boot...

If you have an install CD for an upgrade, try skipping the upgrade and go to the CD and run the install program. The last time I installed from a CD upgrade it was actually a full install version (although they don't tell us that).

The download should also install directly if you have it on USB but I haven't tried that way yet...

Still fighting this on my laptop...

7 has to be SP1, 8 has to be 8.1.
And completely updated...

Laptop could be a different issue (refuses to update 7 SP1), but that's an aside. lol

Processor probably isn't compatible anyway.

Make sure either system is completely updated, then...if that fails, I'll send you a link for a bootable USB that'll cure your ails.

*it'll be a clean install, if you don't follow directions. lol
