Explorer coils on 89 BII 4x4

Hey all, my coils are sagging and was going to hit the junkyard. If I grab some coils from an explorer can I expect any lift?

Lift isn't my goal but if I can get an extra inch or so that's cool. If i do grab some explorer coils should I be looking for 2wd/4wd, 2 door or 4 door?

All I can suggest is to find a site that sells replacement springs and compare rates. My gut feeling is that a 4x4 four door explorer would be slightly more rate than your stock coil.

We put 94 4 door Expo springs in the B2....it rides/flexes like a shopping cart...that's with out sway bars

I've been researching this myself, and here are the numbers I'm coming up with:

Bronco II factory spring:
-Load height 11''
-Spring rate 369

91-94 Explorer 4 door factory spring:
-Load height 11.5''
-Spring rate 485

These numbers are according to the NAPA database. You should THEORETICALLY get at least an inch or more of lift, but you know how that goes.

I put 93 or 94 explorer front springs on my 88B2 when I rebuilt the front end and it sits killer but has a noticeable amount of positive camber so I will have to change the camber bushings out for adjustable ones so I can get it corrected. going to order the bushings and spend a Sat doing it.
