Pitman arm or stabilizer?

So lately I realize I'm getting the death wobble, an involuntary jolt left or right when I hit a bump or pothole.

I also notice the previous owner I had didn't upgrade the pitman arm or put stabilizers to help with that.

I have the truck in my profile pic.

So which should I get? Should I upgrade my pitman arm to accommodate the height, or get a stabilizer to help with the wobble?

It's a body lift.
EDIT* ALSO, both parts are the same price. Both roughly $60, so could I just get both, would that help even more?
Thanks, Don

The "death" wobble is caused by lack of caster. Check it.

First check all of the joints in the steering components for play. My desert truck does this too but all of the joints on my toe rods are beyond shot.

If they check out ok then take it to get the alignment done. As stated above, a body lift won't need a drop pitman but a bad caster alignment will cause random darting side to side especially at speed.

It's been checked out numerous times as it's been at the shop. It's had an alignment when I had my wheel bearing repacked.

Guess that leaves getting a stabilizer.

But I just remember something that could cause that as well... I have bad play at the steering column from the extension piece they installed. Gonna get that welded together to see if that helps.

The steering extension could be a problem.
Also could you snap a pic of the front suspension? Camera at the same height as axle beams and tires straight ahead.

I'll get that when I head back into pittsburgh. I took a trip this weekend to Sandusky Ohio, memorial day vacation if you will haha.

Both are just different angles.

Looks to me like someone has put in a spacer under the coil spring. Can you get a clearer pic of that area? Also get a pic with the pitman arm showing, with the camera at the same height as the tie rod bolt. And last get a pic of the radius arm to frame connection from the side.

Here's some close ups

How's everything look
I got pics of the tie rod joints and the pitman arm connection.

I also got a pic of the spacer...guess I kind of have a suspension lift?

The Pitman angle does look off a bit. The tech section shows the proper angle. Plus 4x4 junkie always says, " You get a suspension lift you should get a longer pitman arm. " And I read his post about lifts religiously lol.

Haha[emoji1]

So should I just go for a 2-2.5"?
Or a 4-6"?
I know it has 3" body lift, but for all I know now, it has a small suspension as well lol.

I have no idea what size to get. Have you posted in the 4x4 section? You'll probably get a better answer from there. I have a 3inch body lift and didn't need one at all and no wobble.
