There are too many variables involved to give definite speeds (gears, tyres, etc). Easiest answer is to install a cheap tach, Walmart has them for a few dollars and they're easy to install. However, the 2.8 is quite happy to rev pretty high, you'll feel the power start to drop off before you get to rpm's that will hurt the motor and you'll want to shift anyway.

It prob 3.73's. Just FYI so you know. Anywhere from 2000 to 3500 seems like a good option. Enough power but not so much your wasting gas.

They all come with instructions. The easiest way on the 2.8 is to grab the 12v and signal wire from the coil, then you will just have to find a ground. You can attach the light wire directly to the 12v if you don't want to go searching for the dash light wires. You should be able to install one in about ten minutes, a little longer if you want to get fancy.
