Ford has their heads up their butts. I believe the whole Ranger thing (or lack of Ranger) is to try and protect the F series lead. But, in the long run all they will be doing is driving customers to GM or one of the two Japanese brands. A hell of a lot of people just don't have a use for those monster sized Fords.

Well, between here in Florida, Utah and California the trucks hold up very well. I have lived out west and here while stationed n the Navy for 20 years. I have seen more rusted out Rangers and Mazdas here in Florida then I ever thought I would. I also think it has something to do how well you maintain your ride....lol. My Tacomas held up very well and had a lot of miles on them when I sold them and I still got a great price when I sold them.
Or just stay in a climate that doesn't put crap on the roads to melt ice.

I see a couple first gens RBV's out and about, can't remember when the last time was I saw a 80's Toyota on the road.

And I have never seen a Ford rusted out as bad as those things get and that says a lot because they can get pretty crusty.

but, i have noticed many of the rotten vehicles there are michigan transplants. and the last 4 years i have been looking carefully down there hoping to find a specific setup to replace my cab with.

there just are not many first gen rangers down there....and of the shitier ones i found, they started life up north...... north of the mason dixon.

and i looked at allot of vans, b2, escorts and rangers. florida is the escort stationwagon capitol of the world...:icon_surprised:

Nah, that is correct. Only a few other countries and us Americans drive on the wrong side of the road....lol. The auto was invented in the USA and some of these foreign countries put the steering wheel on the right hand side because they don't know their left from their right!!! LOL
