1988 ranger 351w swap

Ordered and installed patriot tri y headers and they fit good. I trimmed 1" from the top of the frame and 1/4 from the bottom on the passengers side. $151 plus shipping. Whoo hooo!

When you say 1", is that from the width of the flange, or along the length ? And did you think to add reinforcement where you trimmed that metal ?

Timmed 1" less than a foot long. As for reinforcement, i don't believe that enough was removed from the frame to take away from the rigidity..

On a street driven 2wd probably not, but on a 4wd offroad truck, it would be a wise investment.:D
