Not to bring up old and dead threads but....did anyone who bought one of these for a stock Ranger need to get longer shocks? I just got some Bilstein HD's that are supposed to be for a 0" - 1" lift, and since these things life 1.5" I'm wondering if I'm going to need to invest in longer shocks for my truck.

I've heard that stock shocks will work fine with these, but I just wanted to see what experience you guys had.

Those shocks you got should work just fine, you shouldn't need longer ones. Stock 4wd shocks are long enough to work up to around 3" of lift in most cases, so you're golden :icon_thumby:

Hmmm...well I've got a 2WD with the standard replacement size shocks, but like you said when I put them in they were longer and I had to compress them with a jack to get them into the lower mounts in order to bolt them in. Hopefully I'll be okay, thanks Lego!

Gas charged shocks always want to be in the fully expanded config, so they'll be longer than the static ride height length anyways. That being said watch to be sure they don't bottom out due to them being for a little bit of lift. I have a feeling they'll be fine though. Especially with the Beltech shackles being on there.

I would like to know the name of the shackles from autozone. I live in Canada and things generally take to long and cost to much to ship here! It would be much easier to find something in town!

I got mine through work (Ford Dealer), we get them from Grandwest Enterprises in Saskatchewan. I'd check in with you nearest Ford dealer and see where they get their accessories from.

On a related note I had to cut my exhaust pipe also due to clearance issues.

truck accessories on barlow? u in calgary?

people are saying these give MORE flex? i was going to put these in to keep my tire farther away from my fender, as last time i went wheeling, i sliced my tires up something fierce on the rear fenders, and i do NOT want to do that again... $1300 in tires i don't like hurting them...

33x12.5km2 on 15x10 with a 3" BL

@jarrodh did you rub bad before you put the shackles on? are you body lifted?

I'm running a 33x12.5R15 with a 15x10 w/ 3.75" BO on my 09 SPORT and I've slaughtered my rears on my fender flares. Hopefully this fixes it.
