A few years ago the exhaust system on my 90 Ranger fell apart. I had all new pipes put on from the down pipe back. I found out the exhaust manifold was also leaking. In the process of replacing it I had to cut the down pipe. the manifold is on and sealed, but the down pipe is cut in two. the pipe is a quarter inch from lining up and in a bend in the pipe, so wrapping it with aluminum has not worked out. Has anyone had any luck with exhaust wraps? I have a few different types that might work out, but wanted some opinions first. Not looking forward to laying under the truck on wet ground trying different methods. The ones I have are the soak in water then apply type. Any info would be appreciated.
