My buddy has a 2004 ranger XLT 4.0 sohc and it has been putting out P0174 and P0171 and i suspect that it is a vacuum leak of some sort so i look under the hood and i know that there is a pcv valve on the rear drivers side of the engine and that looked good but on the passenger side valve cover at the front there is a elbow that hooks to the intake and the valve cover side is wobbly and i suspect the vacuum leak is there. my question is what is this passenger side elbow and connection called so i can get a new one and are they supposed to wobble like that.

Any help is much appreciated.

The PVC hose elbow right there at the passenger side of the throttle body is a common cause for those codes.
