He did not ask which was better. He asked (after his unanswered radiator question) if he needed an E-fan for clearance and if not, was there a better mechanical version.

I enjoy a discussion, but this has been immature garbage and I hope it's over.
thanx will, i feel the same way. as for efans in smaller chevys, they do it drive the cost of manufacturing down so they can skrew some more money out of you. my fiances 1500 w/ 4.3 v6 has went thru 2 fans and a fan switch b4 the damn warranty was up. as soon as its paid up were looking for something else. hence the reason i want to stay mechanical if at all possible.

thanx for the advice! this is what im looking for not pissing contests...i prob wont be towing anytime soon w/ the trk (if at all this is going to be my street rod) but what exactly does that piece do? im looking for better cooling for my turbo build, any help is golden. ive considered multiblade fans, anybody have experience w/ them?
