I do live in PA but thank God I don't live anywhere near Philly this week! The smell of progressive hippies makes me ill! BTW, why do they call themselves the "Democratic" party now? Havent' they been the "Democrat" party up until recently? Nothing "democratic" about them, just ask the Bern. Your thoughts?? Maybe it's the demon part of the word...

Philly should be sold to New Jersey. Then New Jersey should be sawed off and pushed out to sea.

If we can manage to do all that before the end of the DNC, then declare NJ its own new nation and anyone in it at the time is their citizen, not ours that would be great.

The "Democratic" Party has never been democratic, nor have they ever had democracy at their core. They have, from day one, been socialists in one way shape or form. They have done more damage to this country politically, economically, socially, and morally than any other single group. The Dems have spawned things like the KKK and Planned Parenthood (which was a eugenics group designed to eliminate blacks from the population by keeping them from breeding) and welfare, including social security. Frankly, I would not be surprised to learn they were behind Kennedy's assassination. That was actually one of the worst things that has ever happened to our country. Kennedy put forward a lot of bad, socialist ideas that were quickly shot down by a congress that made our current conservatives look extremely liberal. It wasn't until after he was killed that Johnson pushed them through because "It was the dead guy's idea".

Frankly I think we should dust off the old Macarthyist lists, and start hunting pinkos again.

I was a democrat when younger and thru college, then I got a job............been a republican since then.

The DNC is a bit too much of a love fest for me to watch.

Like to see a woman President but a Republican and NOT Hillary even if she changed colors.

I don't know that I am excited to see a woman president. I am not opposed to it, but I'm not like some of the people who were working very hard to get Obutthead into office who were saying he needed to be elected because he was black. The first woman president needs better qualifications than her genitals. If the GOP had fielded Rice/Anyone (I would have loved to see a Rice/Powell ticket) instead of McCain/Palin in 08 I would have been far more excited to vote for them than I have been for anyone since my last (failed) chance to try and get Bob Casey out of office.

Ah I knew there were others out there who were of like mind. I agree with the Philly/Jersey thing, been saying the same thing for many yrs. I do request that we keep Andrew Wilkow (he lives in NJ) on the PA side and let Jersey slip away. If U don't know who he is, listen on Sirius radio channel 125 from noon to 3 every week day. 3 hrs of perfectly executed political analysis!

I don't see how out of all the people out there we are stuck with the two clowns we are stuck with.

I want to like Trump but at the end of the day he is a loose canon. When he does something to make me think "hey he might not be too bad" he has to go say/do something totally off the wall stupid.

There is nothing to like about Hitlery but it looks like we are going to be stuck with it.

I have nothing in this fight. IMO the only one that came close to being straightup was Bernie Sanders.

Democratic party didn't like him though I guess.

He was a little out there too, not as bad. I was hoping he would at least beat Hillary.

The problem with elections, is people at least partially believe their promises...

Personally I don't believe ANY of the positive promises.

However when it comes to Bernie or Hillary I believe they are entirely sincere in their promises to take things away from me...

Particularly their fervent belief that we should all be disarmed.

So it isn't what they promise that will sway my vote, but my fears of what they will try to take and what they may force me to do in response...

The other think I can't deal with is the idea of voting for someone who lies so much they've forgotten what truth is...


Or voting someone because everyone else is going to vote for them...

First a bit of truth, calling the average voter "as stupid as a box of rocks" is not insulting

Many politicians particularly Democrats say "corporations must pay their share" and suckers/idiots suck up every word, not having he tiniest bit of understanding that what they are voting for is more taxes on THEMSELVES!

What do you think happens if you raise taxes on a corporation (General mills or Exxon)
if you are so foolish to believe that doesn't translate directly into higher prices for your tank of gas on Thursday or a higher price for your corn flakes STAY AWAY FROM THE VOTING BOOTH!!!

Taxing corporations is also a way for the government to seize (legally) a portion of your retirement savings!

While I believe that fools separate themselves from their money readily enough when you put a voting boot in the mix you get them separating me from my own money as well.

As for this election? I suppose I can take a stiff shot of Bourbon and vote for Trump, but I will hate both parties for not giving me an actual choice...

Most of the democrats...are opposed to voter ID regulations. Now the map on that page isn't correct for NYS (at least not all of NYS) I've lived in several counties and each one required a photo ID. Show your state issued ID. Sign...It's compared with what's on file.. Vote...Thank You!

Question: Why would anyone oppose that? Makes sense. After all Illegal's are not allowed to vote in our elections, correct? People can only vote once...and not go from booth...drive to another area...vote....etc....

Answer: The assumption is that poor people can't afford cars, and therefor can't afford a photo ID. So the race bait bunch will start to use this to stir people up. To be blunt. Most of the ID's for drivers licenses have a cost. Normal state photo ID's? Are either free or a very low cost--and it's good for a number of years!! The ones that can't get a photo ID?......Most likely shouldn't be allowed a photo ID....for reasons that should be fairly clear..

Who coined the term "democratic socialist"? Not Bern...it was Lenin (no not John either, Vladimir). Venezuela, with the former leader Hugo Chavez and now Nicolas Maduro, have taken democratic socialism to its logical conclusion. All U Bern fans get a clue will ya!
