Has anyone ever put electronic actuators on a there tool box latches...
The reason why I'm asking is because I have a low profile toolbox and I'm wanting to put a tonneau cover on but the tonneau cover will sit right across the handles so my idea is to use something like shaved door actuator kit
looking for some imput on this

No reason it wouldn't work, it would depend on the current latch mechanism and throw distance needed to lock and unlock.
Also needs power, so bad battery cable means you can't unlock tools to fix bad battery cable, lol, worst case scenario.

If you have keyless entry now you could get some door lock/unlock actuators and add them(via relays) to that system, so toolbox locked and unlock based on door status.
shaved door actuators could be used for this as well since it is relay based
