Noo, the old ranger light did that. I have a 98 Mustang, and only the middle one turns on when I open the door. But I think with an LED, I will not need the other lights, hopefully.
Oh lol, you'll be fine.

If those aren't bright enough then I don't know what is going to be, LED's don't put out as much light as you think, being tiny little light sources it's not one big bright bulb. I would think they would be brighter at least than the old bulb, unless it was a new one. You didn't exactly get the best quality ones either, really.
The best I can say is here.
http://www.carid.com/1997-ford-mustang-led-lights/lumen-led-lights-10287631.html
There is a bulb called PlaZma, which is supposed to be the brightest, and you can get it in different colors if you fancy.
The product description,
"PlaZma Series Interior Dome Light Replacement LED Bulb by Lumen®, 1 Bulb. Offers twice the brilliance of standard LEDs using the same power, and features a lifespan 25 times longer than incandescents at a lower operating temperature."
Mine is pretty bright, but it's in amber so it's not going to be as bright as white or a lighter color.

Yeah that will do it, the ones I suggested were brighter but those should work.
I would love those, but I need to buy leds for the Mustang and ranger, so I'm trying to keep costs down a bit. If I had a bunch of money, I'd get the cree ones.

You can use that money to put in leds for your headlights and tail lights. :icon_thumby:

Are those any good? I've heard mixed reviews about them.

Depends on your brand, what they do is give you white light, instead of that yellow light, and make your tail lights and reverse lights a bit brighter. Now the super bright blue colored ones are HID's, which are expensive and you need a conversion kit, that color is known as "pure white", LED's are the cheaper alternative, a brighter than stock and you get the nice white light. They are also more efficient. Getting good quality ones is a must, going cheap and getting one that breaks and goes out is not a good thing, but they are really worth it. I was going to do that, but I'm getting all new headlights and taillights. The other thing is to just buy the new housing but those are pretty costly.

I'm pretty happy with the super whites I've got in my head lights.
But bright reverse lights and/or cargo lights would be awesome.

Yeah that would be cool. I don't have cargo lights, my truck is to "sporty" to have them lol, and it would be blocked by my roll bars.

Once I see how these LEDs work out, I might buy more in for the truck.
