best 4.0 exhaust for sound

just got an 04 ranger and was wondering what exhaust would sound good on it since its too quiet for me loud is good but a rumble would be better any ideas on what exhaust would sound good? thanks in advance

Most people are after the lower rumbly sound, take a look at a pipe organ :)

Larger diameter and longer pipes make lower tones

Leave the Cat converters as is, but from there back, go larger, as straight as possible, and as long as possible.
Using a muffler is up to you but make pipe diameter larger.

Magnaflow sounds the best on 6 cylinders. Provides a deep tone close to V8 rumble at idle and just regular driving.

No muffler and pipe combo or lack of muffler and pipe combo will sound good when opening up the throttle. Anything beyond idol and normal driving will just sound monotone and screaming like any other 6 cylinder.

I've had a single exit Gibson kit on mine for 12 years and love it. Fit is excellent and has a nice deep tone without being obnoxious.

Asking for best will give you different answers. I suggest that you check some Youtube videos to get some ideas.

i made a custom 3 1/2 inch exhaust and it has a throaty sound to it. it dumps out right under the cab.
