A few years (3 or 4?) back I posted comments on Cooper AT3 tires. On my 2003 Ranger 4x4 I have probably put on 30k with these. They wear like iron but are NOISEY!
I now am looking at tires for my F150 4x4 and found a good price on Hankook but know nothing and have seen zero on them.
Anyone tried them? ----and have an opinion?

Spend the money for BFG A/Ts. Ive heard the hankooks are really thin walled and blow/punture easy

Hankook makes a very nice passenger tire. I wouldn't put them on a truck.

I run BFG A/Ts for years. Got them on my 97 and 77, never had s flat and never gotten stuck. The new KO2s are a big improvement in the mud over the KOs, but both perform amazing in the snow.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
I've been a loyal BFG fan for over 25 years. Always good wear, good performance and lower noise compared to many others.

I'm willing to listen. What specific problems make you say that?

I put Uniroyal Tigerpaws on my 2003 Sunfire when I replaced the front tires on it. I put the same tires on my 2004 Focus when I replaced the fronts on it (the backs were toast, so I put my fronts on the back and bought new tires for the front).

I REALLY liked those tires. I have no idea what was on the cars when I bought them, and the Sunfire I didn't drive on the old tires (but I did on the Tigerpaws), but on the Focus, those tires seemed to make a big difference.

Bear in mind that was ten years ago, but I seem to recall that they had really good grip, and they were quiet. They were also reasonably priced.

Yes, I know (now) that I put the new tires on the wrong axle......

My Ranger doesn't have four matched tires. One axle has Kuhmos of some sort, and the other axle has Hankooks I think. All I know is that my back axle has NO traction, and the front has barely enough.

Funnily enough, this morning after I'd driven the truck I happened to look at the tires, and noticed that the back tires had no visible tread (the entire road surface of the tire was covered in snow) and the front tires had snow in the treads, but the part of the tread that touches the road had no snow. That would seem to tell me that the tires on the front are a better tire.....
