Hey guys. Seems my home made mounts seem to be off or something ain't right.

Engine is offset to passenger side what seems to be 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. If you're using the stock 3.0 mounts and the plates (home made
Versions) do you have to switch the stock cradle mounts from passenger to drivers side and vice versa? Or am I missing something else here. :icon_surprised:i

Did you remember to remove the spacer block under the left engine mount?

Getting the spacer out is tough, gotta pull the front spring out to get at it.

I don't see what you're talking about? On a 93-97 ranger?

My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
if you look carefully the engine is always offset oem. on some applications when using plates and stock pads there is a offset difference when the mounts are reversed and some are supposed to be trded left to right and others not...if your making your own it will be whatever you want it to be..

so you're saying a little offset is not bad?

as long as I don't have too much degree when it comes to u-joint lining up on my 1 piece drive shaft?

yeah, its ok.

left or right in line of center or rolled one way or the other is just fine.

where the "potential" issues can start to be noticable, is when you swing the drivetrain off the centerline.

many do this with fullsize ford t case applications in general. my current ranger has a gm based v8 diesel and is cocked pretty good to the passenger side to facilitate clocking the 208f transfer case flat in the chassis. its a necessary compromise for such a wide transfer case, and its far from being an issue. but it is noticeable to someone that is sensitive to it. u joint life is not notably reduced so i dont consider it a topic worth discussion.
