I'm in the process of gathering parts for a carbed ford 302 or 351w ( i have not decided which yet) everything's the same swap wise except headers and oil pan right (what pan?)? Well my question is I want to run a t5 out of a ford foxbody. I have read the tech articles but i do not understand what is involved in doing this? Mounting it in the chassis is self explanatory but what i do not understand is how to hook it up to the ford rangers clutch. Also, will it bolt up to a 351w?

Well my questions are decreasing. I found out what oil pan i need and i believe i can use a stock early 70's exhaust manifold but i was also told i could use shorty 302 mustang headers with a 351w? could anybody confirm this and possibly what headers work? I was also told that i could use an f150 bell housing and clutch fork to bolt up to a mustang t5 to run the hydraulic setup but i was wondering what flywheel 164t or 157t for a 351w?

U dnt have to run the clutch fork. U can buy hyd internal throw out bearing. Summit and jegs carry them. I forget the exact name but theyre made for the t5 but they are pricy. If im not mistaken the t5 uses the smaller flywheel on the 302. Ive no idea on 351

You gotta be careful with flywheels on the 302 and 351. The 302 went from a 28oz imbalance to a 50oz, and some cars changed earlier than others, and the 351 was always 28 oz.

It gets confusing.
