I would like to convert my stock fog lamps to HID's. Anyone have any experience with this? Also, I would appreciate any recommendations as to brands, ease of installation and affordability.

DDMtuning.com is a good source for kits. Have used a couple different kits from them with good luck. Good quality.

Simple really. Just a hot and ground, plug and play. Zip ties to keep stuff neat/tidy/safe.

Not sure that is really a good idea. For one thing, fogs can go on and off with the highs, and HIDs need warm up time. Secondly HIDs are bright. Fogs are dim by design because that gives you less refraction through fog, and more visibility. A bright HID bulb is going to make it harder to see in the fog.

Really an amber or red light would be best for a fog light, but politicians make rules about what is allowed, not people with brains.

HID conversion.

Thanks JeremysDad. I checked their website and it seems as though theirs is a fairly easy install and very reasonably priced.

adsm08: I will be using them more for driving lights than actual fog lights. We do a lot of driving across southern Kansas where there are miles and miles of unlit hiway and very little traffic.

Anyone have any good tips for aiming fog lights, ie X amount of drop at X number of feet? I can remember a day when most auto shops would aim lights for you, but that seems to be becoming a thing of the past.
