that van looks awesome. But I think a truck would be cool but the prob might be traction after you loss all the spare metal like the bed. But a cool idea might be to get a VW bus tranny mount it to v8 Like a LS1 powered sandrail. that might be kinda cool. I think a rear mount motor will give you good traction and it will give you great handling for the salom course, good traction for the straight line event. Plus it would look freakin cool. downside is finding a built vw bus tranny that will handle the v8 power.

Front would depend on what car/truck it's going into. Torque steer is a non-issue when the steering components of a FWD unit are welded straight.
