It could be the idle air control (IAC), try pulling it off the throttle body and cleaning it good along with the hole it fits in also clean around the butterfly with a solvent soaked rag. Check all the vacuum lines if they are hard or cracked replace them make sure they fit tight and get a new PCV valve and change the hose if necessary. Start with the cheap stuff first. What engine and what have you done so far your a little sparce on the info when did you tune it up last how old are the wires and PCV.

Fuel filter. Itll be the cheapest thing to start with and is most often a highly neglected part.

The PCV is also a performance robbing part there is no way to clean it just change it and eliminate the variables. If you dont know how old a part is (PM) just change it then the ? is answered.
